Pilates

Classical Matwork Pilates is a sequence of 34 exercises designed to strengthen the muscles, increase their flexibility and improve mobility, gradually reducing muscle imbalances and leading to better posture.

“So what?” you may ask.  Well, poor posture leads to many health issues including back problems, incontinence, poor digestion, to name but a few.  Ideal posture allows your body to work in harmony both inside and out and the benefits of Pilates are many.  It’s also one of the best ways to tone your body and get the figure you desire.  Pilates is also a form of meditation: it firmly focusses the mind on the here and now, taking you away from any problems you may have, leaving you calm and relaxed.
